S60 Applications

NStarter is an awesome little utility by the Russian developer Nomiel that - in a nutshell - gives you 12 new hotkey shortcuts that will launch any app on your device with a simple (simultaneous) press of two buttons. The app also includes one additional little treat; integrated reboot functionality that can be assigned to any shortcut. (Note that reboot does not yet work on the E50)

MobiGenie is one of the most valuable utilities for any mobile phone user. With MobiGenie, you can manage your mobile phone world by a lot of integrated features, such as (answer machine, caller locator, SMS auto-reply, caller block,... etc).

Y-Browser is a file manager for Symbian OS devices. It implements most standard features on files (such as copy, cut, paste, etc) & folders (create, remove, etc)

Y-Browser is freeware and currently available for Series 60 (including 3rd edition devices)

Wireless Labs PowerBoot S60 freeware became available over the last few days. It’s an application that allows the user to specify which applications start on boot. It’s especially interesting because it allows the user to start other 3rd party applications - something that would usually require those applications to pass Symbian Signed testing.

It is a file manager for Symbian S60 phone, similar to FExplorer, a freeware which I recommend.

It is written in Python using PythonS60 developed by Nokia, and is open source.
(In fact, this is my 1st open source project)

mVNC Full Edition is a fully functional VNC server for Symbian phones, mapping screen, keyboard and pointing device of the phone on a PC via a Bluetooth connection. The phone is thus almost completely controllable from the PC. mVNC also offers automated file transfer ("synchronization") between a directory on the phone and a directory on the PC.

mVNC Full Edition also consists of a proxy running on the PC. The proxy is available for Windows and Linux. Together with this proxy, mVNC acts like any other VNC server: A VNC client can connect to it locally or remotely to control the phone.

rotateMe is a freeware application for symbian OS 3rd edition devices, which allow you to use your phone in landscape mode.
